Bye Bye Monkey

Gérard Lafayette (Gérard Depardieu) is an electrotechnician in a New York that looks half real and half stage set, where he lands among a wax museum of ancient Rome, a lonely Italian anarchist, and a troupe of feminist actresses. Marco Ferreri puts Lafayette and the anarchist Luigi (Marcello Mastroianni) in the same cramped rooms, with a chimpanzee wandering between them. All of them are trying to hold a family together out of people who have nothing in common.
