Byzantium

“Irresistible. Immoral. Immortal.”

A secret follows two women to a coastal town, and the people who take them in at a boarding house called the Byzantium learn, with deadly consequences, what it is they have been hiding. Neil Jordan puts Clara Webb (Gemma Arterton) and her daughter Eleanor (Saoirse Ronan) in a place that feels shabby and temporary, though they have clearly run before. Eleanor wants to tell their story to someone, and Clara wants her to stay quiet.
