Cœur fidèle

The story is set on the Marseille docks, in 1923 France, among the cargo and the harbor crowds. Marie (Gina Manès), an orphan, lives under the thumb of the people who took her in, and she has been mistreated for most of her life. Jean Epstein follows her toward Jean (Léon Mathot), an honest man who wants to take her out of that house, while the people holding her have no wish to let her go.
