Cactus Flower

“The prickly stage success that convulsed audiences around the world... with all its barbed wit and the sharpest comedy cast of the year!”

Dr. Julian Winston (Walter Matthau) is a bachelor dentist who has told his girlfriend Toni (Goldie Hawn) that he is married, because a wife on paper keeps every romance from getting serious. Then he proposes to her anyway, and the lie needs a wife to stand behind it, so he turns to his sharp-tongued nurse, Stephanie (Ingrid Bergman). Gene Saks sets the fib running, and Julian is the one who has to keep up with it.
