Cairo Time

Juliette Grant (Patricia Clarkson) lands in Cairo to meet her husband and finds he is delayed, so she waits alone in the hotel. He sends his friend Tareq Khalifa (Alexander Siddig), a retired cop, to look after her, and he walks her through the city's streets and cafés. Ruba Nadda keeps the camera slow and close, giving the film the unhurried pace of those waiting days.
