“Forgiveness is a bitter pill to swallow.”

Claire Bennett (Jennifer Aniston) keeps seeing Nina Collins (Anna Kendrick), a woman from her chronic pain support group who has just killed herself. She tracks down Nina's widower, Roy (Sam Worthington), and starts turning up in his life. Daniel Barnz follows Claire through her pain and her anger at the people around her, and the film treats grief as a weight she has to haul everywhere.
