Calamari Union

Frank (Timo Eränkö) lives in a working-class Helsinki neighborhood with fifteen other men named Frank and one named Pekka, and he has had enough of it. The whole crowd sets out for Eira, a seaside district they believe is a better place to live, and the walk is long, with stray dogs and streetlights that don't work. Aki Kaurismäki treats the trip as a plain wish to be somewhere else, and where a man is going matters less than that he is going.
