Calendar Girls

“Some ladies will do anything for a good cause.”

When John Clarke (John Alderton) dies of cancer, his wife Annie (Julie Walters) and her friend Chris (Helen Mirren) decide the Women's Institute calendar should show the members in the nude. Nigel Cole sets the plan inside a Yorkshire village, where the other members and the town aren't sure what to make of it. The money goes to leukaemia research, and grief is the reason the women cannot simply carry on.
