“"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans"”

In 1984, Estela (Aren Gallo) is a teenager for whom sex, lovers and friendships all seem tangled up at once. Her uncle Carlos (Caio Blat), the one person she looks up to, has been living in California, and her biggest dream is to go and visit him. Marina Person follows her through the weeks after he comes home thin, weak and ill, as Estela is made to see the world differently.
