California Dreamin'

Doiaru (Răzvan Vasilescu) is the stationmaster of a small Romanian village in 1999, and a local gangster on the side. When a NATO train hauling military equipment rolls in, he stops it for lack of customs papers, and Captain Jones (Armand Assante) is left to argue with him. Cristian Nemescu lets the soldiers wait out the delay among the villagers, and Sergeant McClaren (Jamie Elman) and Monica (Maria Dinulescu) start drifting toward each other.
