Call Me by Your Name

“Is it better to speak or die?”

Oliver, a graduate student, turns up at a family villa in northern Italy in the summer of 1983 to assist Mr. Perlman (Michael Stuhlbarg), a professor of Greco-Roman culture. Seventeen-year-old Elio (Timothée Chalamet) has the days to himself, and the visitor (Armie Hammer) is suddenly in all of them. Luca Guadagnino lets the summer unfold at the slow pace of the house itself, in long unhurried scenes where the heat is part of the room.
