“If She's Going To Save Christmas, She's Got Some Big Shoes To Fill.”

Lucy Cullins (Whoopi Goldberg), a cranky executive at a home shopping network, hires an actor named Nick (Nigel Hawthorne) to play Santa Claus on air and sell Christmas decorations and presents. Peter Werner keeps the story in her office and on the network floor, where Nick turns out to be a good deal more than a seasonal hire. Lucy has no patience for Christmas, and the film is about what the job asks of her.
