“Love against all odds”
In 1847 Buenos Aires, Camila O'Gorman (Susú Pecoraro) is a young noblewoman from a family that answers to both the Church and the governing order. She falls in love with Ladislao Gutiérrez (Imanol Arias), a young Jesuit, and neither her father Adolfo (Héctor Alterio) nor the clergy will accept it. María Luisa Bemberg's film is about a love that the family and the Church have already decided to forbid.
