Can-Can

(1960)Directed by Walter Lang142 minMusic, Comedy, Romance
“The Entertainment Event of the Year!”

Simone Pistache (Shirley MacLaine) runs a Parisian nightclub where the can-can is the main attraction, and the dance has made her an enemy of Philipe Forrestier (Louis Jourdan), a judge who believes it should be stopped. He plans to catch her mid-performance with a camera, but he starts to fall for her instead, which does not please François Durnais (Frank Sinatra). Walter Lang stages Cole Porter's songs in Todd-AO, and the film turns on the three of them.
