Cannonball

“The annual Trans-American outlaw road race - A cross country demolition derby without rules!”

Coy "Cannonball" Buckman (David Carradine) points his red Pontiac at the Trans-America Grand Prix, an underground race across the continent with no rules and no speed limits. A $100,000 purse waits at the end, and so does a guaranteed place on the Modern Motors team, which puts Cade Redman (Bill McKinney) squarely in his way. Paul Bartel plays the whole thing as a comedy, crowding the road with an international field of racers.
