Canyon Passage

(1946)Directed by Jacques Tourneur92 minWestern
“Every Exciting Character! Every Dangerous Moment....”

Logan Stuart (Dana Andrews) runs a pack-train business in 1850s Oregon and wants a settled life, but he is pulled between two very different women, Lucy Overmire (Susan Hayward) and Caroline Marsh (Patricia Roc). He is also bound to his friend George Camrose (Brian Donlevy), a gambler who cannot stop. Jacques Tourneur films the frontier in wide, sunlit country, with the songs of Hoagy Carmichael drifting through it.
