Captive

“Faith. Redemption. Survival.”

A man forces his way into Ashley Smith's (Kate Mara) apartment and takes her hostage, and nothing in the facts says why he picked her door. He is Brian Nichols (David Oyelowo), and she has a copy of Rick Warren's The Purpose Driven Life within reach. Jerry Jameson keeps the two of them in that small space while Detective John Chestnut (Michael Kenneth Williams) searches outside, and what hangs on the night is whether either of them gets out alive.
