Car 54, Where Are You?

“An arresting comedy.”

A mafia witness in Brooklyn has to reach the stand alive, and the job of getting him there falls to the two officers least suited to share a patrol car. Gunther Toody (David Johansen) is brash and loud, while Francis Muldoon (John C. McGinley) is stiff and goes by the book, all under Captain Anderson (Nipsey Russell). Bill Fishman puts them in the front seat together, and the arguing is where the partnership starts.
