Carlito's Way

“He's got a good future if he can live past next week.”

Carlito Brigante (Al Pacino) walks out of prison after years inside, saying he is finished with crime, and nobody around him seems to believe it. Brian De Palma follows him through New York's underworld as his lawyer David Kleinfeld (Sean Penn) and the old streets keep pulling him toward the life he swore off. He stands in the nightclub with Gail (Penelope Ann Miller) nearby, a man who wants out.
