Carmen Comes Home
In a rural Japanese village in 1951, the elder prepares a welcome for the farmer's daughter Kin Aoyama (Hideko Takamine), coming home from Tokyo. She now calls herself Lily Carmen and works as a Westernized burlesque dancer, a job nobody back home knows about. Keisuke Kinoshita, shooting Japan's first full-length colour feature, puts her in front of a village that has no idea what she does for a living.
