Carnage

“A new comedy of no manners.”

Penelope Longstreet (Jodie Foster) is a writer who has invited another couple into her living room to settle things after their son hit hers with a stick. Nancy and Alan Cowan (Kate Winslet, Christoph Waltz) arrive prepared to be reasonable, and Penelope's husband Michael (John C. Reilly) offers them coffee. Roman Polanski keeps all four in one apartment, and the polite agreement they came to write gets harder to finish with every minute they stay.
