Carny

“When you're young and going nowhere... the Carny looks like a good way out.”

Donna (Jodie Foster) walks away from a waitressing job in a small town and goes with a traveling carnival, though the film never says what, exactly, she is leaving behind. Robert Kaylor puts her in a trailer with Frankie (Gary Busey) and Patch (Robbie Robertson), two entertainers whose act is already a strain between them. Now she is the third person in a cramped space, and whatever she came for may cost her the place.
