Carry On Cleo

“The Funniest Film Since 54 B.C.”

Hengist Pod (Kenneth Connor) is an inventor from Britain who wants nothing more than to get home in one piece, but invading Romans have captured him and hauled him off to Rome as a slave. A mix-up in the city has him mistaken for a fighter and drafted into the Royal Guard, assigned to protect Julius Caesar (Kenneth Williams). Gerald Thomas puts Hengist among Caesar's sneering court, and he is a man with no talent for swordplay who now has to pass as a soldier.
