“Oh! What a Carry On When that Crazy Bunch Join the Police Force”

Sergeant Frank Wilkins (Sidney James) runs a station that has lost half its men to a flu epidemic, so Inspector Mills (Eric Barker) gets three new recruits, none of them ready. Gerald Thomas follows them from their first shift, with Special Constable Gorse (Charles Hawtrey) tagging along, and criminals slip away before the three even reach the station. Wilkins now has to make them into real policemen, or he gets transferred and they lose their jobs.
