Cartouche

In 18th-century France, Louis-Dominique Bourguignon (Jean-Paul Belmondo) runs with Malichot's gang until he decides their methods are too dirty for him. He starts his own band under the name Cartouche, robbing the rich and handing part of the take to the poor, which makes the crowds love him and the police and Malichot want him caught. Philippe de Broca sets Cartouche's good luck against Vénus (Claudia Cardinale), and the one trap he can't dodge is falling for her.
