“How to rob a bank... and get away with it?”

It is the days before Christmas, and the bank where Harry Fordyce (Peter Cushing) is manager runs on schedule and rules. Then Colonel Gore Hepburn (André Morell) walks in, polite and well dressed, with word that Fordyce's wife and child are being held hostage and £90,000 must leave the vault. Quentin Lawrence keeps nearly the whole film inside the bank's offices, the staff working in the next room as the pressure builds.
