Cast a Giant Shadow

“Outnumbered - unarmed - unprepared - they stunned the world with their incredible victory!”

Colonel Mickey Marcus (Kirk Douglas) is an American Army officer with little interest in his Jewish heritage, until a request arrives to help build an army for a country that does not exist yet. Melville Shavelson follows him as he takes command just before the war begins, with every Arab neighbor sworn to invade. Marcus stands between Magda (Senta Berger) and his wife Emma (Angie Dickinson), an officer in a uniform that no longer feels like his own.
