Cat People

“They are something more than lovers who are about to become something less than human.”

Irena Gallier (Nastassja Kinski) arrives in New Orleans after years apart from her brother Paul (Malcolm McDowell), a minister. When zoologists capture a wild panther, Irena is drawn to the cat, and zoo curator Oliver Yates (John Heard) is drawn to her. Paul Schrader builds the story around a family secret, that desire itself is what makes the Galliers dangerous.
