Caterina in the Big City

“Sometimes you just want to fit in... or not.”

Caterina (Alice Teghil) is twelve, and she has just come from a small town where nobody cared who her parents voted for. Her father Giancarlo (Sergio Castellitto) gets transferred to Rome, his hometown, and puts her in the school he once attended, where eighth-graders sort themselves by money and politics. Paolo Virzì leaves her at the edge of the classroom, a new girl watching the groups form and not yet knowing which one will take her.
