Cats Don't Have Vertigo

On his birthday, Jô (João Jesus) is put out of the house by his father and has nowhere to go. He ends up on the terrace of Rosa (Maria do Céu Guerra), a widow who has only just lost her husband. António-Pedro Vasconcelos leaves the two of them up there, a grieving woman and a boy with no door to knock on, and Jô keeps coming back to the one place that will have him.
