Celeste (Rashida Jones) and Jesse (Andy Samberg) still finish each other's sentences and laugh at the same jokes, and their friends still treat them as the perfect couple, though they are in the middle of getting divorced. Lee Toland Krieger follows two people who have known each other since high school and cannot work out where the marriage ends and the friendship begins. Celeste is the driven businesswoman, Jesse the easygoing one.
