Cesar Chavez

“History is made one step at a time.”

The California farm fields of the 1960s pay workers too little to live on, and the people bent over the rows have no one speaking for them. Cesar Chavez (Michael Peña) sets out to organize them, with Dolores Huerta (Rosario Dawson) beside him and a vow to do it without violence. Diego Luna shows what it costs to take on the growers, with Chavez's wife Helen (America Ferrera) and their children paying for it at home as the grape farm owners dig in against him.
