Cezanne and I
In nineteenth-century France, Paul Cézanne (Guillaume Gallienne) and Emile Zola (Guillaume Canet) grew up as boys swimming naked, drinking absinthe and sketching models together. Danièle Thompson follows them into middle age, when Zola has fame, money and a wife Cézanne once loved, and Cézanne still has no recognition. Paul judges his friend and needs him anyway, and neither of them can quite let the other go.
