Chained for Life

Nobody on the set of a European auteur's English-language debut, a hospital drama, seems to agree on what the film is about. Mabel (Jess Weixler), a beautiful actress, can't find a way into a scene with her co-star Rosenthal (Adam Pearson), whose face is disfigured. Aaron Schimberg builds the film around that gap, and how each of them looks at the other, and at being looked at.
