“A Picture of the Finest Vintage”

A rich young woman slips away from her millionaire father and sets off for France, and the film never quite explains why a man like him would let it end up here. Betty (Betty Balfour) is spoiled, quick and sure of herself, and she is chasing The Boy (Jean Bradin) at any cost. Hitchcock sets her against a watchful stranger, The Man (Ferdinand von Alten), whose attention she cannot shake.
