Chappie

“I am consciousness. I am alive. I am Chappie.”

A robot police officer is stolen from the factory floor by gangsters who reprogram it and raise it as their own. Deon Wilson (Dev Patel), the engineer who built the machine, watches his creation learn loyalty and violence on the streets of Johannesburg while his corporate rival Vincent Moore (Hugh Jackman) pursues his own agenda. The machine's survival depends on the loyalty of the only people who claim to love it.
