“Their family home is his new hideout.”

Irene (Maeve Jinkings) is stretched thin by the daily care of her bedridden father-in-law in the Brazilian countryside, and the family has little money to ease it. Then a nurse makes them an offer: let the old man die, and shelter an Argentinian drug kingpin who needs somewhere to hide. Carolina Markowicz plays the arrangement as black comedy, in a flat, matter-of-fact tone.
