“It was supposed to be a routine prisoner transfer. But this was no ordinary prisoner.”

In 1994, two Navy shore patrolmen, Rock Reilly (Tom Berenger) and Eddie Devane (William McNamara), get an ordinary-sounding assignment: drive a prisoner to a different base. The prisoner is Toni Johnson (Erika Eleniak), an enlistee charged with deserting her unit, and she turns out to be craftier than most inmates. Dennis Hopper keeps the trip moving through the roadside stops, with Toni in the back seat and the two men up front.
