Chatô, The King of Brazil

Assis Chateaubriand (Marco Ricca), known to everyone as Chatô, wants to own the way Brazil hears about itself. He builds the country's first communications empire, and by the late 1930s he can sit across from presidents like Getúlio Vargas (Paulo Betti) as an equal. Guilherme Fontes adapts Fernando Morais's biography as a comedy about money, influence and appetite, a story about how much of a nation one man's ambition can come to own.
