Chato's Land

“What Chato's land doesn't kill, Chato will.”

In 1870s New Mexico, a half-breed shoots a bigoted sheriff in self-defense and rides out of town. Quincey Whitmore (Jack Palance), a former Confederate officer, gathers a posse to run him down, and Michael Winner sends them after Pardon Chato (Charles Bronson) into country that belongs to the man they are hunting. Chato says almost nothing, and the sun-bleached land stretches out flat and hard around the riders.
