Tom Baker (Steve Martin) coaches high school football until he and his wife Kate (Bonnie Hunt) move their twelve children to the city so he can take a college job. The house erupts into chaos as teenagers like Lorraine (Hilary Duff) and Charlie (Tom Welling) navigate their own lives while younger kids demand attention. Tom discovers that managing a family is less like running plays and more like trying to hold water in his hands.
