Cheatin'

Jake and Ella meet in a bumper car collision, and for a while they are the most loving couple anyone has seen. Then a scheming woman works her way in, jealousy takes hold of the marriage, and Ella turns to a disgraced magician and his forbidden "soul machine," which lets her take the form of Jake's many lovers. Bill Plympton animates it in hand-drawn pencil, and what Jake and Ella have left is whatever love survives all that wreckage.
