Chéri
“Indulge in a wicked game of seduction”
In the Paris of the 1920s, the courtesan Léa (Michelle Pfeiffer) has spent six years with Chéri (Rupert Friend), the young son of her rival Madame Peloux (Kathy Bates). Then his mother arranges his marriage to Edmée (Felicity Jones), and the affair is ended on someone else's terms. Stephen Frears, working from Christopher Hampton's adaptation of Colette's novel, keeps the camera close on Pfeiffer's face as the story goes quiet.
