Chiara

Assisi, 1211. Chiara (Margherita Mazzucco) is eighteen, and one night she leaves her family's house to join her friend Francesco (Andrea Carpenzano). Susanna Nicchiarelli follows her as other women gather around her and she begins to stand up to the Pope himself. The film leaves us with Chiara among them, young and plainly dressed, certain of the freedom she is fighting for.
