Chico Xavier

“The life of the greatest spirit medium that the world has ever seen.”

The film opens in 1969, when Chico Xavier (Nelson Xavier), an aging medium, sits under television lights in Brazil and answers a hostile interviewer's questions. Daniel Filho moves back through three decades of his life, with Ângelo Antônio and the child Matheus Costa taking the part at younger ages. Beneath the long run of years, the film holds on a man who says he writes what the dead dictate, and on whether anyone will believe him.
