“You'll wish it was only make-believe.”

In Chicago, the dying killer Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif) is shot in a toy store, and his soul passes into a Good Guy doll. Karen Barclay (Catherine Hicks) buys it from a street peddler as a gift for her six-year-old son Andy (Alex Vincent). Tom Holland keeps the story close to Andy's bedroom, where the doll sits upright in the corner and its glass eyes catch the light.
