“THE LEGEND - John Wayne is 'Chisum'”

In New Mexico Territory in 1878, someone is squeezing the ranchers of Lincoln County off their land, and the cattle baron John Chisum (John Wayne) has the biggest herd to lose. Lawrence Murphy (Forrest Tucker) holds the county's money and its stores, and Chisum has Pat Garrett (Glenn Corbett) and Billy the Kid on his side. Andrew V. McLaglen shoots it in Panavision and Technicolor, keeping the horsemen small against the open country.
