Ebenezer Scrooge (Simon Callow) wants his money counted and his door shut, and he wants the whole world to leave him alone. His old partner Jacob Marley (Nicolas Cage) comes back to warn him, and three ghosts follow, with Belle (Kate Winslet) among the faces from his past. Jimmy T. Murakami draws the story in animation, with a live-action Dickens telling it from his study.
