Chuck & Buck

“When does a close friend become too close?”

Buck (Mike White) is a man who never left childhood behind, and when his mother dies he wants the one person who still feels like home: his old best friend Chuck (Chris Weitz). Chuck moved away years ago and has a career and a fiancée now, so Buck's persistent attention gets harder to explain. Miguel Arteta films Buck's loneliness at close range, with a patience that keeps the awkwardness from turning into a joke.
