Chup Chup Ke

In a village in India, the debts pile up on Jeetu Prasad Sharma (Shahid Kapoor) until he tries to end his life, and when he survives, the villagers and his family believe he drowned. He starts over in another village and pretends to be mute to get work with a rich man, falling for the man's mute daughter, Shruti (Kareena Kapoor Khan). Priyadarshan, remaking the Malayalam film Punjabi House, plays the whole setup as broad comedy.
